This Edition
This edition of thisandagain is a basic framework for the consumption and output of data from various different sources. Besides the XHTML and CSS-based GUI (and this column of text), the content of this edition is completely managed in unique data "nodes"
that have been aggregated using a variety of techniques. These aggregation components most notably include the use of the Yahoo! Pipes development tool.
As shown in the above aggregation example, this technique enables all data from the "Thisandagain Network" to be consumed in a standardized XML format, parsed and inserted into a database which is locally held for quick processing and reliability. In addition, all image-based content is read, converted, manipulated and saved locally for similar reasons. As the network is updated, content is automatically processed by the aggregators and consumption procedures and shown on the site in the format you see here.
