LAVA - Live Ambient Visualization Application

This one of many photos from the Mos Def performance that shows our team testing the system prior to the sound check. LAVA is a system that I built with Alex Alexanian, Mike Miller and Erick Carlson of o2 Creative Solutions that provides performers with on-stage control of all visuals and includes an on-board MIDI sensor array that allows for expansion to a wide range of analog sensors including foot pedals, potentiometers, touch sensors, accelerometers, etc. that can be integrated into the system using a standard 1/4 " TRS Jack. Media is selected by using a large (15 " vertically mounted) capacitive touch screen which connects to custom software written using Apple's Xcode and Quartz Composer.
